Our Journey So Far

At The LittleOak Company, we believe that every child deserves to be nourished with wholesome, natural nutrition to help them grow big and strong…just as nature intended.

Each and every one of our American mums and dads holds a special place in our family, and we consider it a privilege to be part of your feeding journey. We were honoured to help American families during the recent infant formula crisis, where many were buying our product directly from us in New Zealand.

Fast forward a year or so, today we’re delighted to offer our beautiful New Zealand-made Goat Milk Toddler Drink (Stage 3) direct to our American families. We’re consistently focused on expanding access to our LittleOak products, which is why we are so excited to share that our Toddler Drink will soon be available in select retailers across the US.

Lovingly milked and made in New Zealand, our Toddler Drink is now packaged and shipped directly within the United States. With faster, local shipping, this not only offers greater convenience to our American mums and dads, but also significantly reduces our carbon footprint. We believe caring for little ones means caring for the world they will inherit, and we are wholly dedicated to progressing our sustainability initiatives.

An Update on LittleOak Infant and Follow-on Formulas approval in the USA

We are currently working with the FDA to achieve our pre-market approval for our infant formula range (Stage 1 Infant Formula and Stage 2 Follow-on Formula). While we go through this process, we have voluntarily decided to stop selling these products to American families via our website. This decision was made in September 2023.

We are working incredibly hard to secure our pre-market approval which requires us to prepare FDA compliant labelling and conduct clinical trials. We are also actively working to get our fresh whole goat milk and flaxseed oil ingredients approved. As the world’s first infant nutrition brand to use these homegrown ingredients, we take great pride in offering what we believe is the best and most natural nutrition available.

Fresh whole goat milk and flaxseed oil are two wonderful and nourishing components of our formula that have been thoroughly reviewed, rigorously tested and approved for use by other governments around the word including Australia and New Zealand, but not yet in the U.S.

We will never compromise on the quality of our product nor the ingredients we use, and we will continue to do everything we possibly can to ensure these two innovations are approved by the FDA. We believe that all American families, like millions of others around the world, should have access to our all-natural formulas, and we are taking the necessary steps to make this a reality.

LittleOak will always remain proudly New Zealand milked and made, adhering to the highest production and quality standards anywhere in the world. We will continue to ensure that we meet all nutritional and regulatory guidelines required in all markets in which we serve.

LittleOak Infant and Follow-on Formulas continue to be available elsewhere in the world.

LittleOak has been nourishing little ones for many years and feeds millions of infants and babies across the globe each and every day and will continue to do so. It’s our greatest joy and privilege to be invited on your feeding journey.

Our decision to stop supplying LittleOak Infant Formula Stage 1 and Follow-on Formula Stage 2 affects the USA only. Supply to families and retail partners in our other markets continues as usual.
