Is this approved by theFDA? I saw a recall notice.
As an independent business,
we’re not involved with the regulatory approvals of products in other countries
(even those that we choose to stock). However we do know that LittleOak is made
in New Zealand and meets all necessary guidelines and requirements in
Australian and New Zealand (which are the strictest in the world when it comes
to infant formulas).
I saw these productswere recalled in the USA. Are they safe to buy?
As a small family
business, our customers mean everything to us. We are constantly researching
new product and sampling new items to ensure that what we sell is
quality, superior and you are satisfied with your purchase. That
includes LittleOak. LittleOak is approved for sale here in Australia, and is
currently going through FDA approval in the US.
I'm still waiting formy LittleOak order, where is it?
Generally, all orders
are packed and dispatched from our warehouse in Australia, which can mean
longer shipping times if you are located overseas. Due to our extensive range
and in the event that an item is out of stock, a dispatch time of approximately
? business days may apply to
your order. Unfortunately, from time to time, we also experience delays outside
our control, such as shipping network or weather delays.
Please know that all
orders are processed and sent as soon as possible as we know how important it
is to receive your purchase promptly.

Does LittleOak includeGMOs / artificial ingredients?
One of the reasons we
decided to stock LittleOak was because of the natural ingredients they use. We love
that they don’t add palm oil, canola oil, maltodextrin, soya or GMO’s to their products.
I’m not sure aboutusing a goat milk formula?
From our contacts in
the nursery industry, we know that parents these days are really looking for natural,
nutritious products to give their children. Through our own product research, goat
milk formulas are a gentler option and easier on the tummy, and full of the
vitamins and minerals that kids need.
What’s the best way tointroduce LittleOak to my child?
For advice on
introducing LittleOak, we recommend you check out the LittleOak website, where
they have step by step instructions - https://thelittleoakcompany.com.au/pages/faq
Do you have a sample?
Unfortunately, we’re
not able to provide free samples of LittleOak. However, we do recommend the
LittleOak sachets as a great way to trial the product. The individually-packaged
single serve sachets come in a box of six.
Is LittleOak organic?
We’ve checked the LittleOak website and confirmed
that while most of the whole goat milk used in their products is farmed using
organic practices, the formulas are not certified organic. They state “It’s quite a process to become
an organically certified farm, which is why many of the farms that we source
our milk from choose not to pursue certification. Rest assured, all of our
ingredients are as naturally and sustainably sourced as possible, including
omega fatty acids DHA and ARA from algae and our cold-pressed flaxseed oil from
the South Island in New Zealand.” Hope that helps!
What is wrong with palm oil?
Palm oil production is
having a serious impact on the environment. According to the World Wildlife
Fund, clearing for palm oil plantations
has destroyed vast amounts of rainforest and animal habitats, and is
contributing to climate change. There’s also emerging research suggesting palm
oil can have negative impacts on our health as well, including affecting nutrient
absorption in children.
Why is it so expensive?
We are constantly
researching new product and sampling new items to ensure that what we sell is
quality, superior and you are satisfied with your purchase. So while
we know LittleOak isn’t the cheapest formula on the market, it’s the best
that’s available. And that’s what important to us.
LittleOak is an award-winning range made in New
Zealand from high quality ingredients – they use fresh whole goat milk with no
GMOs or synthetics. They also don’t use canola or palm oil – cheaper, mass
produced oils which have negative impacts on our health and the environment. Finally,
the way they make their products is unique to them – halving the heating and
processing of their milks to maximise the natural nutrition.
What is the "FromFresh" process?
LittleOak is the first formula in the world to
be made from fresh whole goat milk, and with half the processing of other
brands. Here is what they have to say about it on their website “Most
formulas are made by first heating the milk to create a milk powder, then
adding in water to turn it back into liquid, then heating it again to blend it
into formula. However we don’t do this at LittleOak, because we know the more
you heat any food, the more you deplete the natural nutrients. Instead, we have
halved the heating process with our new From Fresh approach. We start with
delicious fresh goat milk from our farm in New Zealand and only add heat once
to our formulas which means we preserve all its natural goodness.” Hope
that helps!
Is the flaxseed oilbetter to use than a palm oil pressed at safe temperatures?
Oils are an essential ingredient in formulas,
as they mimic the fatty acids found in breastmilk. Some of the cheaper, mass
produced oils like canola or palm oil have some negative health and
environmental impacts, so we really like the fact LittleOak is palm and canola
oil free. In fact they are the first formula to be certified 100% palm oil free
and to use cold-pressed flaxseed oil instead of canola oil. Flaxseed is rich in
Omega 3 fatty acids and also a great source of protein.
Where are the goatsraised? Where is the product made?
LittleOak is made in New Zealand. Their goat
farm is located in Palmerston North, on New Zealand’s North Island.
